Eligibility and Process

Core eligibility

  • β€’Valid job offer from a designated employer in a participating community
  • β€’At least 1 year (1,560 hours) of related work experience in the past 3 years
  • β€’Approved language test proving language ability
  • β€’Canadian educational credential or foreign equivalent
  • β€’Proof of sufficient funds to support self and family

Application steps

  1. 1.Check eligibility
  2. 2.Get a job offer - From a designated employer in one of the participating communities
  3. 3.Get a community recommendation - Employer sends recommendation application to the community; community verifies job is in priority sector, offer is genuine, and applicant meets pilot requirements
  4. 4.Apply for permanent residence - Online via PR Portal, after community recommendation received
  5. 5.After you apply - AOR issued, biometrics + medical exam requested
  6. 6.Settling in Canada

  • Police certificate per country lived in 6+ months since age 18 (valid ~1 year from issue)
  • Photo(s) for applicant + all family members (even non-accompanying), not older than 6 months
  • Fee payment receipt
Any supporting document not in English/French needs: (1) a certified-translator-stamped translation OR a signed affidavit from the translator if no certified translator available, AND (2) a scan of the original or certified photocopy. Family members and the applicant's own immigration representative CANNOT serve as the translator.
