Important Caveats
- A provincial nomination does NOT itself grant permission to work in Canada. A separate work permit application is required to work while the PR application is processed.
- Faster work permit processing available for physicians/healthcare specialists (clinical lab medicine, surgery, general practice/family medicine) with a full-time offer + a support letter from the nominating province/territory.
- Available if applicant's existing work permit is about to expire while PR application is still processing.
- An immigration representative cannot open a portal account on the applicant's behalf, sign the application electronically, or log in using the applicant's credentials. They can fill forms and communicate via their own account.
